      Namaste Nepal organizes general meeting fortnightly. The meetings are normally held on Friday evenings, except for the time when we are approaching any special events. The schedule of general meeting for the Spring Semester 2009 is listed below. The meeting dates highlighted by yellow are completed. The meeting dates highlighted by red are cancelled. The meeting dates not highlighted are still to come. The board members have not yet decided for all meeting dates, as soon as the date is declared, the earliest date will be posted under the announcement link of home page and the detail list will be posted here in the same page.

Himalayan Night:
Himalayan Night is a rich cultural program organized by Namaste Nepal every Spring Semester. This program comprises of cultural dances, songs and traditional Nepali food served to the guests. The program also invites international students as the guest performers. The program serves as a basis to introduce Nepal to all the international community. The program welcomes all the Truman faculty and staffs, students and local residents indiscriminately.
This spring semester 2008, Himalayan Night was conducted on Feb. 23rd, 6 pm, Georgian Room.

Lake Party:
      Lake Party is a day-out organized by Namaste Nepal in the private lake that belongs to a nice American lady Nancy. Nancy has been host to Nepalese students in different events. She is also one of the special guests invited in Dashain Party to put TIKA and bestow her blessing to Nepalese. She also hosted Nepali students a Christmas Celebration last year (2007).
       In lake party, Nepali students enjoy a homely happy picnic. They do the boat-side, swimming, barbeque, play games like soccer, volleyball. The lake is situated in a beautiful place surraounded by small green hills and trees. Photography is another interesting thing to do in lake party.

Dashain Party:
      Dashain Party is organized in order to celebrate the greatest festival of Nepal. In this festival, people put tika on their forhead from their elders and get their blessings. This is the time when all the family memebrs and relative get together to talk about their year thorugh experience. Namaste Nepal organizes Dashain Party in the weekend of Dashain festival according to Nepali Calendar. Various Nepali food is prepared and singing and dancing are held. Last year (2007), Dashain party was organized in BSU Hall (Baptist Student Union, on-campus Christian Society).

Other Events:
      Namaste Nepal organizes other random events with a motive of refreshment from week long hectic schedule and also to strengthen relationship among its fellow members. All the members can't always be together each weekend. So, when Namaste Nepal comes with an idea to get together, everybody participates undeniably. Such random events include nclude Momo Party (Momo is popular Nepali lunch item), New Year Party, Movie Nite and much more. Namaste Nepal Board members team respects its fellow members idea about any event in the future. The team is ready to co-ordinate with any member coming out with idea of an event.
